June 10th – Small Comfort Reading Group #2 – Matters of Care
EVENT 2: Thursday June 10th @ 1930
reading: an excerpt from Matters of Care by Maria Puig de la Bellacas
“To care can feel good, or it can feel bad. It can do good, it can oppress. But what is care? A moral obligation? A burden? A joy? Is it only human?” Together we will read an excerpt from the “Thinking with Care” chapter of Matters of Care.
Where: The Pink Blanket @ Birkelunden Park
event details:we will do site reading of the text together, taking turns reading out loud, and stopping to discuss when wanted/needed, so no need to read the texts in advance. Copies of the texts will be provided at the event. The goal of the reading group isn’t necessarily to finish reading the complete texts, but to sit and think together about these topics.
